More Than Words. The Magic of Stories.

I count myself very lucky.

Both my parents were avid readers and they encouraged my habit all through my life. Now that I have a young daughter there is nothing I love more than reading to her and sharing the excitement of a story. World Literacy Day is an important reminder that not everyone has that opportunity. Across the Globe nearly 15% of adults cannot read or write and, even more shamefully, in the UK nearly 20% of adults still have ‘very low literacy skills’.

Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation Through Technology and Partnership

What does it mean to be young in 2026?
For me, it’s exciting, but also uncertain. My generation is entering a job market where AI can complete tasks in seconds that once sat firmly within graduate and entry-level roles. It’s hard not to wonder what that means for us and the careers we’re only just beginning. Through my experience working in a creative agency, I’ve started to look at the rise of AI differently.

What “Pride” Teaches Us About Belonging

What “Pride” Teaches Us About Belonging Every June, companies talk about visibility. And visibility matters. For many people, seeing yourself represented publicly — in leadership, culture, media or business — still carries enormous emotional weight. It tells you that you are welcome. That you belong. That you do not have to edit yourself to participate. …

Creativity & Innovation: More Than Just “Art”

World Creativity and Innovation Day got me thinking: too often, we assume creativity belongs to artists, designers, or musicians. And innovation? We tend to associate it with start-ups or tech labs.

Shedding & Sprinting: What the Wood Snake and Fire Horse Teach Us About Creative Work

Shedding & Sprinting: what the wood snake and fire horse teach us about creative work 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake, wasn’t exactly gentle on the creative industries. Large shifts across the professional landscape may have felt like a forced unravelling. But if we borrow a lens from the Chinese zodiac, that volatility starts …

Design You Can Feel: Rethinking Accessibility in Creative Work

Design you can feel: Rethinking Accessibility in creative work The best design isn’t always the one you see. It’s the kind you can feel, in texture, rhythm, and flow. It’s how the eye moves across a page, how contrast carries meaning, how space itself becomes communication. World Braille Day reminds us of that truth: that …

Make the Most of the Fade: A Creative Case for Early Reflection

“Make the most of the fade: A Creative Case for Early Reflection In November, the light fades earlier each evening, the studio hums with its familiar rhythm, focused, fast, alive, but there’s something softer beneath it. November marks a shift: a quieter undercurrent that hints it’s time to look back, even as we keep moving …

“IRL”: Back and Better Than Ever!

“IRL”: Back and better than ever! Lucinda Everett’s recent Guardian piece captures something remarkable: last year saw more than 30 million theatre visits in the UK — the equivalent of half the population stepping into a live performance. In an age of endless digital noise, that figure speaks volumes. Theatre has always thrived on what only …

Building a More Equal Future

are we building a more equal future or just talking about it? In the 90s, third-wave feminism told women we could “have it all.” Build the career. Raise the kids. Climb the ladder. Break the glass ceiling. Stay ambitious, stay kind, stay in shape. On paper, it felt like liberation. In practice, it left many …

Scrolling Smarter

Scrolling Smarter: Social Media, AI, and the Future of Authentic Connection Every night before bed, my feed knows exactly what I need: ASMR videos that quiet my mind. Midday? DJ sets that help hone my focus. This isn’t coincidence, it’s curation. I’ve trained my algorithm with intention, and honestly? It works. Social media has become …

Creativity at SXSW 2025

What SXSW Taught Me About the Future of Creativity, Technology, and Human Ingenuity Earlier this year, I returned from SXSW — a week that, from the outside, may have looked like a blur of tacos, neon lights, and celebrity panels. But behind the immersive installations and late-night conversations was something much more profound: a powerful …

Who’s asking the questions? Depending on who you ask, AI is either the game-changing solution we’ve all been waiting for or the harbinger of Armageddon. But where does the truth lie? The future of content

At a cost of over $2bn, The Sphere may seem to be just an extension of Las Vegas’ mantra: bigger is better. There are mind-blowing statistics: an 18,600-person capacity, a 16k resolution wrap-around screen inside, and 58,000 sq. ft. of screen space outside. But the most impressive thing about the Sphere from Whitewall’s perspective is …

AI and the power of creative thinking

Remember a few months ago when AI was going to destroy/save the world? Isn’t it amazing how the narrative has moved on? Change isn’t going to happen overnight, but AI can and will unlock new dimensions of creativity, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences that resonate with audiences on a deeper level? At …
