the art of innovation

ENGAGING ORACLE’S FUTURE.

As part of the Whitewall commitment to supporting the British Government in its’ efforts to promote the UK Creative Industries, we were delighted to partner with the British Consulate General in San Francisco to help design a unique experience that links great British art to UK excellence in innovation and technology.

Set against the backdrop of an intimate private view at the De Young Museum of two major British exhibitions – Sir Paul McCartney’s Eyes of the Storm and Sir Isaac Julian’s I Dream a World – The aim, to reposition perceptions of the UK, not only as a nation of heritage, but a forward-thinking hub for business, technology, and cultural innovation. The theme we conceived… The Art of Innovation.

Communications Campaign

Implementing a communications campaign in the lead up to the event was essential in driving the positioning of the UK as a global leader in innovation and creativity, as well as driving uptake of invitations to attend. From UK musicians touring to the latest art exhibitions, and GDC, Whitewall created a guide to UK culture in the Bay that the British Consulate General could use to build out their social media campaign.

Tying together all elements of the Art of Innovation campaign, Whitewall was briefed on the creation of two graphic elements to be incorporated throughout all communications – the Art of Innovation logo, and the #BritishInnovation tagline. Whitewall was tasked with creating a look and feel that embodied both British symbolism, with clean modern design principles; all the while adhering to brand guidelines.

The final design chosen by the HM Consul-General incorporated a nod to the UK through the British flag, placing the emphasis on The Art of Innovation as the overall theme.

sponsorship

Attracting the right calibre of sponsor organization requires a combination of a strong value proposition, and a clear vision as to the overall event program.

In the creation of the sponsorship prospectus, Whitewall paired recognizable imagery from both Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Isaac Julien’s exhibitions with an exclusive sponsorship value proposition – aligning their brand with a high impact campaign, attracting leaders throughout the business, tech and arts sphere, and championing Britain’s global innovation.

experience engineering

Building a successful event meant working closely with the team at the British Consulate General to understand the messaging they wanted to highlight, provide recommendations as to activations supporting these, and aligning the Run of Show to best deliver on the strategic aims.

From highlighting British technological innovations through conversations with Ameca the most advanced humanoid AI – to ensuring guests are able to immerse themselves in the best of British creativity as the explore Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Isaac Julien’s installations. Whitewall has designed the Run of Show to enable the British Consulate General in San Francisco to Make Every Moment Count.
